Entrance
The intro beat of KharmaGuess’ Palladio starts up, the silhuoettes of Juri - locked in a super model like ‘come hither’ pose - and the bouncing in place, heavier frame of Archie Cullen appear as the violin starts to play the familiar mixed tune of the classic Palladio piece.
As the bass drops and the electric guitars kick in the stage lighting kicks on to reveal the duo properly as they start their way down to the ring. Archie takes the ring steps into the ring while Juri does the splits on the outside apron before sliding in luridly.
Helping his partner up to her feet, Archie walks over to their corner and begins to stretch, only nodding to the fans while Juri walks to a neutral corner, striking a pose before blowing a kiss out to the crowd before stepping off and joing her partner to await the start of the match
Fan Interaction
Archie is a good deal more aloof and focused than his extrovert tag team partner. He doesn’t showboat or slap hands much, but he will give an acknowledging nod or wave on occasion.
Biography/Upbringing/Influences
Despite claiming to be from London, England Archie Cullen was actually raised in Watford by his work-focused father and often fretting and overbearing mother. He became friends with his neighbor - Juri Mazuki - from a young age. The two were virtually inseperable, though early on many noticed that Juri was far more adept at making friends, and those same friends usually only became friends with Archie by proxy, at least initially.
Unlike his extrovert partner, Archie was raised in a life of risk aversion, often not allowed to watch certain television shows or head out to hang out with friends that weren’t on the same street as him, so he became dependant on Juri for social interaction, as well as developed a personality that was far more sullen and withdrawn.
Despite this massive difference in personalities, the two remain fast friends, even through the turbulent years of high school, where Juri broke out as a social butterfly and Archie was often referred to as her shadow or ‘older brother’, often frustrated and feeling like he lacked an identity - and also terrified by the strong feelings he has for his boisterous friend - Archie threw himself into high school athletics, predominantly their schools amateur wrestling program, where Archie found something in himself he didn’t know he had: aggression, and lots of it.
A life of constantly being made to not take risks - and seeing those that did seemingly having more fun and succeeding socially than he was - Archie found the ability to doggedly grind through opponents on the mat to win, and started to get noticed in school for his own merits as he developed visible muscle and gained more confidence, even despite his still readily apparent awkwardness.
Unfortunately his amature hopes were dashed by a torn rotator cuff in his senior year that kept him out of the sight and minds of many college and university recruiters. His ability was noted by an unlikely source in a local professional wrestling school that extended the offer to him and - having nothing else on his agenda - he went for it, and found it just as fulfilling as his time as an amature grappler.
Now an adult Archie’s biggest problems in life revolve around his awkward pubescence leaving him woefully unprepared for personal conflict, namely in relationships, Archie has never had one, ann carries the torch for Juri. He grows ever more vexed by her incredibly blatant sexuality - and jealousy over her numerous partners - but being her best friend he finds he can’t say anything against her hopes and dreams, and he’s also too afraid to admit his feelings for her.
Strengths
1. Aggression - Archie is an absolute relentless animal in the ring. He doesn’t like to give an opponent any time to breath and swarms over them for as long as his cardio allows
2. Grappling - An accomplished amature wrestler, Archie has branched out in the years since high school to try and encompass a great deal of British Technical Wrestling.
3. Head Drops - Archie adores his suplexes
4. Strong - A deceptively powerful person, he may appear to be middle of the road physically, but his drive and technical ability allow him to throw almost anyone to the mat.
Weaknesses
1. Bad Shoulder - The Rotator Cuff Injury that ended his amature hopes is an easy target and will sometimes give out on him
2. Introvert - Despite his ability, Archie is a man who’s painfully uncomfortable in front of the crowd, he finds them distracting, even when he finds their cheering for him flattering.
3. Poor Vision - Outside of the ring, Archie is very close to fitting the classic ‘nerd’ stereotype, right down to a thick prescription of glasses. In ring this can lead to him whiffing on strikes or misjudging distances on dive.
