SSWA: Empire Night One
October 3rd, 2016
"In the 14th minute, Misha locked in a kneebar, but NoVaK was somehow able to get to the ropes, forcing Misha to break up the submission hold! A minute later, LeCavalier hit Tell Me How It Hurts (Running Knee to Seated Cornered Opponent) before she dragged NoVaK out of the corner and went for the cover, getting the ONE...TWO...TH-NO!!! NoVaK powered out at the last second, keeping this back and forth match alive!
Misha then went for a rolling elbow, but NoVaK blocked it, then kicked her in the gut before he went for a brainbuster! But, Misha slipped behind him before catching him with an uppercut to the back of the head, dropping him to a knee! Misha then ran towards the ropes in front of NoVaK and attempted to go for a running Canadian Destroyer...only for NoVaK to hold tight and keep her into an Alabama Slam position instead! He then got to his feet before dropping to his knees and driving her head into the mat with And So The Sun Dies (axe guillotine driver)! NoVaK went for the cover afterwards and got the ONE...TWO...THREE!!!"

I’m not exactly sure how I feel at the moment. For a person like me (one who constantly tries to stay on top of her emotions), it’s odd.
It’s be a couple of hours since the conclusion of Shooting Star Wrestling Alliance’s Empire Night One event. It was the semi-final round of the UK Cup; and, I was two wins away from winning it all.
Two wins…
However, I could not capture those two wins. Hell, I couldn’t even capture one of those wins.
So again, as I sit here in plane seat, I’m not exactly sure how I feel. I’m not particularly angry at anyone. I’m not upset with myself. And honestly, based on my performance throughout the tournament, I cannot logically be disappointment in myself.
I, I suppose I feel—nothingness.
...I guess the question I should be wondering is what happens now?
In a good, wholesome, and perfect world, my stock should have gone up. The amazing bouts that I conducted during the course of the tournament should be added up; and, I should have some more clout. However, the world is far from perfect...especially the wrestling world. More than likely, all my hard work in the UK Cup will be erased and fade from people’s minds. The truth of the matter is, people will likely focus on the loss at Empire, not the entire body of work.
It’s a pity, but it’s unavoidable.
Therefore, again, what happens next?
In regards to In Your House Wrestling Federation, things are simple. Me and Myung must continue to push forward towards the tag team championships. In SSWA though? I’m not sure exactly.
Refocus?
Upon entering SSWA, my focus has always been clear. My goal was not just to win matches, but it was to make some sort of lasting impression on the company. I wasn’t able to do that in Frontier Grappling Arts, but I knew I could in SSWA. I was trained and taught the traditional European style; and, I spent most of my career wrestling in Europe. Therefore, logically, the promotion was a no-brainer.
Throughout my months in the company, my name has been etched in the tomes of SSWA’s history: Rising Star Champion, Pure Champion, UK Sports Syndicate Award Technical Wrestler of the Mid-Year. My focus has been on point.
Recalibrate?
That is a possibility. I’ve always looked at professional wrestling as a continual journey. If one begins to become stagnant (whether it be their skills, mind-set, attitude, etc.), then there is an issue.
...Perhaps I’ve become stagnant.
As I said before, my goal was to leave a lasting impression—I did that. The question that followed should have been the question I’m asking myself this very moment—what happens next?
In the next couple of days, I must figure out want I want to do. It could be to win another belt. It could be to rain down a hailstorm of violence. Or, it could be something completely different. Regardless, I’ll need to develop a plan of action, a course of movement.
Whatever the case may be, I will not lay down and die. A set back is just that—a set back. It is a detour. As much as people may wish and pray, I shall not just vanish into thin air.
I’ll change. I’ll evolve.
And when my change is complete, I will not be denied.
...Now, I suppose I should get some rest as I board this flight. Vegas awaits me very soon.
