Entrance
Describe your wrestlers entrance to the ring from start to finish.
All the lights in the arena go out and his theme song starts. Random lights come on and off. The all go off and in a strong note of his music 4 spotlights shine in one spot on the stage and there he is. As he walks down the aisle the spotlights follow him on a track only he knows, while going on and off. If someone is going to jump him it’s hard to find him in the organized chaos. He roles into the ring and and all the house lights come on. He uses the top ropes to pull himself up, cracks his neck and takes a fighting stance.
Fan Interaction
How does your character interact with fans during his entrance, during promos, during matches, and after matches?
The ultimate face, he engages with fans to encourage fans. He has a message and is an everyman that people can believe in. Everyone hates bullies. His quest to humble bullies will be documented. He wants fans to be a part of his dismantling and he craves their interaction during a match. He wants them to cheer, but not just for him, for the cause. He wants them to feel that every punch he throws, they are throwing it too. Every kick, they are kicking. After the matches, he’s known to jump in the crowd to celebrate. The fans should be just as much a part of the celebration as he is. He relies on them and they can believe in him.
Biography/Upbringing/Influences
What is your characters background / biography
Linus Stark was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was a scrawny kid that was picked on mercilessly. His large nose, pointy chin, and beaming eyes were easy targets for ridicule. He found the gym when he was in 6th grade and focused on wrestling and weightlifting. Around 8th grade the bullying stopped because he learned to fight. He continued to fight and put his focus on those who picked on people weaker than them. Linus would grow irate when he perceived someone was bullying someone else. He grew into his facial features by high school and it threw people off how he would fly off the handle about bullies. Brooklyn had large schools and his circle of friends, didn’t understand his childhood. He found himself on the outside his junior year. His volatile behavior lead him to being kicked off the wrestling team as he had fought with and beat up the majority of his teammates for picking on others. His odd charisma caused those who met his wrath to realize the error of their way, but the Coach grew tired of it when Linus attacked his son for racially berating a boy named Rorey. The coach pushed for expulsion, but Linus was instead sent to In School Suspension for the rest of the year. In his ISS (which was a computer lab) he began to tamper with the computers. Stark graduated from High School as a junior and entered trade school as an electrician. He graduated in 2004, quietely went to a trade school and began to work for a large, faceless electrical company. His time on the clock had developed himself a reputation as a hard worker who was thorough and honest. His time off the clock was more of a vigilante effort to hack into unsavory rings of pedophiles, terrorists, and other disgusting groups. While not a gym rat, he did spend 4 days a week at the gym, lifting and taking their MMA classes taught by fighting legend, Tytus Rost (a former Hall of Fame wrestler).
Strengths
List up to five strengths of your character
Loyalty - If you’ve made friends with Linus Stark, you have a friend that will stick by you for doing good.
Drive - Any job worth doing is worth doing right.
Intensity - If he’s angry, it’s going to be an awful day. If he’s not angry, he loves the competition and it’s not going to be any less fun.
Vigilante nature - If there is a wrong to be righted, Linus Stark is there, no matter the odds.
Weaknesses
List a minimum of 3, maximum of 5 weaknesses of your character
Jekyll/Hyde Problem - He’s fun with a cheesy sense of humor one minute and a monster on a destruction path the next. His tick is bullying or unfairness and that can be exploited, unfortunately. He is very competitive in the ring when he’s not angry, but he’s merciless when he is.
Formal training - Tytus Rost is a master teacher, but this was just a cardio style class. If it were a street fight against a regular guy, Linus would have the upperhand b/c of his training and just his aptitude for fighting, stricter training could’ve allowed him to really be a threat in MMA, but facing professional wrestlers could be a downfall. His success will be based off of his learning curve to the wrestling business.
Punisher - While he has an engine, his pace is fast and furious. While dangerous to be in the way of, if an opponent can get to the ropes, the ref will make Linus Stark stop his attacks.
