Hello and welcome, or welcome home to those of you with previous experience in CRW.
I'm Talon Wilkinson. I started Code Red Wrestling around 5-6 years ago and I like to believe 98% of the people involved in our 2+ year run had a good time and found the fed to offer something that you couldn't find in a majority of other efeds. I stepped away from the game when we closed CRW 3+ years ago, and until the last few months I've been completely out of the game, which has me refreshed and excited about the opportunity to have some more fun with old friends and new ones all the same.
Here is what we are looking to do here at CRW.
1. Have fun. We are playing a game, this game is based on pro wrestling which has never been the most realistic thing on our TVs. Just like in "real life" we will stretch some of the boundaries of realistic and fun/fantasy, but not to the point of people fighting IN Hell, or underwater or any of that crazy stuff. Suspension of Disbelief is all you have to have.
2. A new twist on a previously established history/universe. CRW always embraced acknowledging other feds existed, and we were encouraging our handlers to use twitter back before a lot of feds really were doing it much on a fed level. So we believe in immersion. We aim to make Code Red a living, breathing entity once again. CRW was one a powerful juggernaut in Pro Wrestling. Rising to the upper crust of The Experts feds along with APW (Action Packed Wrestling) SCW (Sin City Wrestling), PW (Phoenix Wrestling), as well as VWF and TFWF. CRW playmakers competed in The Extreme Tournament, in Survive and Conquer, and many other inter-fed events and fared very well, and we were proud of that. Now after losing financial stability through a serious of bad investments and pressure from the television networks, Code Red has been dormant and forgotten for the past 3 years. The "Under Armour" Arena, once considered a crown jewel of wrestling venues and the home office of CRW operations has fallen into ruin. Like any abandoned sports complex it is coming apart in places and has long since lost the endorsement of Under Armour.
CRW will return to the arena and attempt to rebuild the company's legacy, for what reason? That is to be seen...
3. We are going to change formats from a strickly RP based fed, to a fed that still has you roleplay in whatever capacity you wish, (1 RP per show cycle is preferred, but not mandatory) as the bi-weekly episodes of Face Off will be angled. The shows will be a hybrid of thoughtfully summarized matches with segments to progress and/or establish storylines and feuds. The Supercard events will be judged based on not only the RP done during the supercard deadline cycle, but also paired with another score determined by the RPs and segments written and worked on by each competitor during the angled weeks that lead up to the conclusion of the feud. There will always be the flexibility where some matches could be RP based on a Face Off, but the handlers would receive at least one show notice before hand to prepare and be sure their schedules fit the requirements.
(more to come as I work on things)
